Babasaheb has played a very important role in the social and economic progress of this country as well as in establishing social and economic harmony. Babasaheb was not only a jurist, social and cultural guide and the architect of the Constitution of India, but he devoted his entire life to establish India as a powerful, secular and sovereign nation. Babasaheb considered women as the most important component in the society and said that the development of the society in true sense is possible only when women are educated and self-dependent. He told the gathering that we all should take inspiration from Babasaheb's life and fulfill his dreams and build a powerful India.
On this occasion, Chandra said that apart from being a man of the era, Babasaheb was also a dedicated jurist, eminent economist and a phenomenal social leader. He always laid emphasis on social harmony and believed that balanced development of society is possible only when equal opportunities are provided to each and every individual living in it with full respect to the feelings and needs of the people. Babasaheb had envisioned a society in which women, men and people of different categories get equal rights.
