The Bharatiya Janata Party is also focusing on efforts to ensure the success of the Global Investors Summit which is slated to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Dehradun on December 8. The BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt along with party leaders inspected the venue of the summit at the Forest Research Institute (FRI) on Tuesday. Inspecting the venue along with cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi, he said that Union Home minister Amit Shah will attend the concluding ceremony of the summit.
The BJP has started preparations for welcoming PM Modi in Dehradun during the Global Investors Summit. This will be Modi’s first visit to the State after the party’s recent electoral victory in three States where it achieved comfortable wins in the Assembly elections. On Tuesday, the BJP State president visited the venue of the event, exhibition and nearby areas. Bhatt said that this summit will prove to be a gamechanger for the development of the State and facilitating employment for the youth of Uttarakhand. “It is fortunate for us that PM Modi is going to come here to motivate and guide us,” he said. Bhatt further said that all the party office bearers and workers have been requested to build an atmosphere of positive discussion among the State’s people regarding the Global Investors Summit. They have also been asked to make efforts to make sure that a good picture of the State is presented in front of the large number of delegates from across India and abroad coming here to attend the summit. He also informed that while PM Modi will be present at the inaugural session of the summit on December 8, Home minister Amit Shah will be attending the conclusion of the summit on December 9.
The BJP State general secretary (Organisation) Ajaey Kumar, general secretary Aditya Kothari and other office bearers of the party were also present along with Bhatt during the inspection.
