The National Career Service Centre for Differently Abled (NCSCDA) Bhubaneswar, along with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), Bhubaneswar organized a life-changing event for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) on December 15.

Over 143 individuals from across Odisha received essential assistive devices free of cost, paving the way for greater independence and brighter futures.

Local MP Aparajita Sarangi, joining as the chief guest, inspired the beneficiaries and thanked the Government of India for the initiative.

State Commissioner for Persons with Disability Bratati Harichandan joined as guest and gave her words of encouragement to the PwDs. The event witnessed the distribution of 129 smartphones, equipping visually impaired students with access to education and information. Additionally, 123 smart canes enhanced mobility and independence, while 4 hearing aids provided a crucial link to communication.

The unwavering support of  Senior Manager and Incharge of ALIMCO Bhubaneswar AV Ashok Kumar played a pivotal role in the event's success. Assistant Director (i/c) of NCSCDA Sonalika Suman expressed her gratitude to all stakeholders for their contribution.
