Additional Member (Traction) of Railway Board Vijay Pratap Singh visited Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) here on Wednesday. On this occasion, he inspected the workshop areas and observed the work related to the production of electric locomotives in various workshops of BLW like Loco Frame Shop, Loco Assembly Shop, Loco Test Shop, Hornness Shop, Truck Machine Shop etc.
During his inspection, Singh was accompanied by Principal Chief Electrical Engineer SK Srivastava and Chief Electrical Engineer (Loco) Arun Kumar Sharma who gave detailed information about the production activities, projects going on, loco manufacturing facilities etc apart from production process and other technical subjects to the visiting Additional Member of Railway Board.
First of all, Singh paid a courtesy call on General Manager (GM) Basudev Panda. Thereafter, in the meeting held in BLW’s Hall of Fame in Administrative Building, PCEE SK Srivastava welcomed the Additional Member (Traction) by giving him a sapling. During the meeting, the PCEE through power point presentation gave detailed information about the BLW along with other activities related to loco construction going on in BLW. Additional Member (Traction) of Railway Board appreciated the efforts being made by BLW team for loco production under the guidance of the GM Basudev Panda.
Singh expressed hope that the BLW will definitely produce more locos than the given target of 460 loco production and it will set a new record. In this meeting, Principal Chief Materials Manager Rajneesh Gupta, Principal Chief Engineer Vinod Bampal, Principal Chief Personnel Officer Ranvijay, Chief Vigilance Officer Pramod Kumar Chaudhary, Chief Mechanical Engineer (Service) Neeraj Jain, Chief Mechanical Engineer (Production) Sunil Kumar, Senior Deputy General Manager Vijay, Chief Electrical Engineer (Inspection) MK Singh and many others were also present.
The programme was conducted by Chief Design Engineer (Electrical) Anil Kumar Jain, who also proposed the vote of thanks at last.
