AI will have a prominent role to play in the pharma sector in the country. This aspect of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its importance was delved indepth at the valedictory of national conference organized by SRM College of Pharmacy yesterday. The conference was held from 15 to 17 February on 'Artificial Intelligence in Drug Discovery And Pharmaceutical Research.'
Vishagan Vanangamudi , Director, Apex Laboratories Pvt.Ltd., Chennai was the chief guest for the valedictory. He said Artificial Intelligence is an important domain which is under focus for their organization and soon they would move towarda launching drug leads through AI mediation.
He further he added that there was no replacement for human brain and AI should not rule human intelligence. AI should be used an tool and not as a replacement, he said. Dean (Research), SRMIST Dr B Neppolian said AI would rule in the future.
