The World University of Design presented the 'Critics' Choice Award' for 2022 to dhrupad singer Wasifuddin Dagar for his everlasting contribution to Indian Classical Music at the Performing Art Studio of the institution.
On being felicitated, Dagar said, "I have for years lived up to my strengths and in every way have only tried my best to add value to the rich culture we as Indians possess and to make it reach out across borders. I believe that music has the power to bring together hearts and souls and through this gift, I have from God I have ensured to hold that intent close. Congratulations to the World University of Design for taking such concrete steps to encourage and empower Indian performing arts and treating it as paramount.”
