Miscreants targeted a house at Annapurna Complex and escaped with valuables worth Rs 5 lakh; Kamla Nagar Police have started investigation.
Police said that the victim Pawan Kumar along with his family on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan and when they returned valuables were found missing and a complaint was lodged by the victim with the Kamla Nagar police. In the complaint the victim stated that they left the house for the festival and when returned in the evening valuables were found burgled.
The victim claimed that gold and silver jewelry and cash were burgled. The victim has claimed that the total loss in the burglary is around Rs 5 lakh.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case of burglary against unidentified miscreants and have started further investigation.
Meanwhile, miscreants targeted a house of tyre trader at Indra Nagar and escaped with valuables worth Rs 2 lakh; Teelajamalpura police have started investigation into the matter.
The victim Mohammad Javed Qureshi deals in tyres and had gone to Lalitpur UP two days ago and when he returned the locks of house were found broken and valuables were burgled.
Police suspect that miscreants were aware of the whereabouts of the family. The CCTV cameras of the area and nearby cameras have been checked and to establish the identity of the miscreants has been started as investigation is on.
