In view of the success of efforts made by Madhya Pradesh in the renewable energy sector, Avada Energy Limited has shown interest in green hydrogen production. The group wants to produce green hydrogen and ammonia in Madhya Pradesh with an investment of Rs 30,000 crore.
Avada Group Chairman Vineet Mittal, President Vinu George and Murtuja Kakuji met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at Mantralaya on Friday and informed about the investment proposal.
Representative of the Group said that Madhya Pradesh is favorable for investment in every respect. Adequate land, water, electricity facilities, cooperative local administration and concessions from the government level make industrial institutions willing to come to Madhya Pradesh.
Chouhan said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasized on green energy while showing foresight. In this sequence, the Government of India did the work of bringing Green Hydrogen Policy. Keeping in view the future requirement in Madhya Pradesh, efforts will be made in this direction under the policy of the Central Government. The state government will encourage the institutions investing in this sector by providing necessary facilities.
Chouhan said that necessary decision would be taken after studying the proposal of Avada Energy Group. Necessary steps will be taken after considering the investment possibilities in this sector in Madhya Pradesh.
The MD and CEO of Marksons Pharma Limited, Mark Saldanha, Advisor Jitendra Sharma, ED Vardhaman V. Jain and Project Consultant Santosh Muchhal met Chief Minister Chouhan and apprised him about the investment proposal of Rs. 450 crore.
During the meeting with the Chief Minister, Chairman of M/s Sagar Group Sudhir Kumar Agrawal and MD Siddharth Aggarwal informed about the investment proposal of Rs 450 crore.
He informed that investment in textile sector in Tamot district Raisen have brought financial stability to the daughters. About 1500 daughters have been provided employment and hostel facility. Initiative has been taken by Sagar Group to provide raw material to other textile industries.
An investment of Rs 1200 crore has already been made by the group. Now a new investment of Rs 1050 crore is being prepared in the textile sector.
Somaiya Group Willing to start University
The Chairman of Somaiya Group, Mr. Sameer Sumaiya and the Vice Chancellor of Somaiya Vidya Vihar University, Mr. Raj Shekharan Pillai met Chief Minister Shri Chouhan and apprised him of the desire to start a university in Madhya Pradesh.
Somaiya Group will provide employment to two thousand persons from the proposed unit of Integrated Food Park, Bio Ethanol Plant and Agro Forestry Extension. A proposal has been prepared to set up a unit at Rehti in Sehore district.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed Principal Secretary Industries and Investment Promotion Shri Sanjay Kumar Shukla to examine and present the new proposals. The Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Manish Rastogi was present.
