The police said on Sunday they have seized 60 kg of cannabis valued at Rs 16 lakhs and arrested a man in Mahasamund who was transporting it from Odisha to Korea district in Chhattisgarh.
Mahasamund Additional Superintendent of Police Megha Tembhurkar told The Pioneer over telephone that Rashid Khan (22) of Korea has been taken into custody.
The police intercepted a car in Patel at Bhanwarpur road on Saturday.
The police seized the contraband packed in 60 plastic bags and the car used in the crime.
