While the country is witnessing an unprecedented situation fighting the second wave of the Covid pandemic, children being one of the most vulnerable sections increasingly are getting affected not just physically but also emotionally and socially and need care and attention. In this context, the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FICCI FLO) Bhubaneswar organised a webinar on the occasion of the Mother’s Day on Sunday with the theme “I’m the best mom”.The webinar, moderated by FLO Bhubaneswar secretary Sonal More, covered clinical features, essential requirements of home isolation, do’s and don’ts of vaccine, diagnosis and management of Covid-19 virus in children and the link between Covid-19 and MIS-C (Multiple System Infection Syndrome in children) and its effect.
FLO Bhubaneswar chairperson Sunita Mohanty introduced the topic while AIIMS Bhubaneswar Additional Professor of Community Medicine and Dean (Research) Dr Binod Patra and Jagannath Hospital, Bhubaneswar director paediatrician Dr Biswajit Mishra spoke on various aspects of child care.
