Soyat Kala police have seized Cannabis worth Rs 1.57 crores from Agar-Malwa of Ujjain division, in which smugglers were sending huge consignments of Cannabis as a postal parcel from Visakhapatnam to Kota, Rajasthan, but police received information and tracked the parcel.
After police received information team was rushed to spot and the Soyt Kala Police tracked large quantity of Cannabis by checking a container which was going to be filled with Cannabis as a postal parcel. The value of the seized ganja is said to be around Rs 1.57 crore. At the same time, the driver carrying the postal parcel container has also been arrested in this case.
In fact, Agar Superintendent of Police Rakesh Kumar Sagar had received information from the informer that illegal drugs would be taken from Visakhapatnam to Kota Rajasthan in a container number MP09GG3674, this container will pass through the border of Agar district.
On this, he informed the police station in-charges in all the police station areas of Agar district and started checking by blocking them.
On this, the Soyat Kala police station opened and searched the container going as a postal parcel container, then 880 kg of different parcels of Canabis were found in the container. On this, the police immediately recovered the container and arrested the driver Vishnu Prasad of Khijarpur Jhalawar.
A case was registered against him under the NDPS Act. Police is probing where such a huge consignment of ganja was coming from and going to Visakhapatnam.
