‘Women can pave way for Atmanirbhar Bharat’

The ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ is an age-old practice which was disturbed by foreign invasion. And women-led development would pave the way for Atmanirbhar Bharat, especially in the MSME sector, said Union Minister State for Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Pratap Sarangi. Sarnagi was speaking in a webinar on ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat and Women’s Economic Empowerment’ organised by the women’s wing of FICCI-FLO Bhubaneswar Chapter organised on Friday.

The meeting was attended by FLO members from all over the country.  “India is a treasure box of resources and has tremendous potential and capacity to encourage women entrepreneurs in micro and small businesses to cope with and rescue the economy,” Sarangi stated. FLO Bhubaneswar chairperson Sunita Mohanty opened the meeting with a welcome address and shared the vision of FLO Bhubaneswar for the year 2021-2022, announcing it a year of inclusion.Immediate past chair Dharitri Patnaik presented the national initiatives of FLO. The event was aimed at encouraging the women of today to feel empowered and motivated in these challenging times.
