Planning a party at home can be interesting but creatively exhausting as well because there is so much to experiment and play with the party menu — be it the decor, food or the drinks.
While the run of the mill drinks like the colas and the alcohols or the lemonades are easy to whip up and serve, what will really amaze your guests is the personal touch and innovation.
This festive season celebrate in style with fun party drinks and be a great host. Here are some drinks tried and tested across numerous gatherings and the feedbacks have just made them better.
FRESH LIME Soda
What you need
- Lemon: 1
- Soda water: 1 bottle
- Sugar syrup: 11/2 tbsp
- Crushed ice
- Salt to taste
- Chaat masala to taste
- Lemon (for garnishing)
- Mint leaves (finely chopped)
Method
- Squeeze lemon in a glass and put sugar syrup.
- Then add salt, chaat masala and crushed ice.
- Pour soda water slowly in the glass and stir well.
- Add mint leaves and garnish with lemon slice.
- Serve immediately.
Watermelon Delight
What you need
- Watermelon (without seeds): 1 bowl
- Ginger
- Ice cubes: 2-3
- Mint leaves
- Lemon juice: 1tsp
- Black salt to taste
Method
- Peel ginger and wash the mint leaves.
- Now put all the ingredients in a blender and blend.
- Serve chilled.
Virgin Mojito
What you need
- Sprite: 300 ml
- Lemon juice: 2 to 3 tsp
- Mint leaves: 1/4 cup
- Sugar syrup: 3 tbsp
- Ice cubes
Method
- Pour lime juice and sugar syrup with crushed mint leaves in a tall glass and pour sprite in it along with few ice cubes, mix well.
- Garnish with a slice of lemon and a small sprig of mint leaf.
- Serve chilled.
Fruit Punch
What you need
- Fresh Orange juice: 1/4 cup
- Pineapple juice: 1/4 cup
- Mango Juice: 1/4 cup
- Sugar syrup: 1 tbsp
- Lemon juice: 1 tsp
- Ice (crushed)
Method
- Mix everything together in a tall glass and serve chilled.
Virgin Sangria Mocktail
What you need
- Orange juice: 100 ml
- Apple juice: 150 ml
- Sprite and Coca-Cola: 100 ml
- Lemon juice: 1 tsp
- Ginger juice: 1/2 tsp
- Apple (finely chopped): 1 tbsp
- Pomegranate seeds: 1tsp
- Ice cubes (as required)
Method
- Put all the ingredients together and mix well.
- Serve in tall glasses and enjoy the refreshing drink.
