Walmart India is playing a critical role in the community by ensuring a smooth supply of essential items to members, a majority of whom are kiranas, who purchase from our Best Price stores.
The last few days, the associates working at the Best Price store in Bhopal are working tirelessly to ensure servicing hundreds of e-commerce orders of essential supplies every day to be delivered to members of our cash-and-carry stores.
"We have ramped up our capacity to service online orders as this will ensure that members don’t need to come to the store and can order from the safety of their homes.
This will help us fight the coronavirus through social distancing. The Best Price store in Bhopal has also recently serviced a huge order of oil, rice, ghee, sugar and pulses as well as fruits and vegetables to the CRPF. Walmart India is honoured that it can do its bit to help the paramilitary and local authorities in this challenging time and support communities in need," said Walmart India Spokesperson Walmart India has also on-boarded additional delivery partners to manage increased delivery volumes.
"Our delivery team is equipped with personal protective equipment such as masks, hand sanitisers and gloves and the delivery vehicles are disinfected prior to loading. We are committed to serving our members and community at this time," the spokesperson added.
