Even as Congress MLA Aditi Singh was rewarded with Y-plus category security within 24 hours of her defying party line to attend the special session of UP Assembly on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, her party was yet to take any disciplinary action her in the matter.
Congress Legislature Party leader Ajay Kumar Lallu, while replying to media on this issue on Thursday, said that they were discussing the issue after the surprise move of Aditi Singh. “We are not in a hurry to take action against her,” was the only reply that Lallu gave on the Rae Bareli MLA defying the party line.
However, another senior party leader told media persons that as the issue was related to Rae Bareli, any decision on it would be taken only by party president Sonia Gandhi.
