Cancer Day held at city’s AMRI Hospitals

The AMRI Asian Cancer Institute, AMRI Hospitals, Bhubaneswar, observed the World Cancer Day. The day aims to raise awareness and education about a disease that touches so many people around the globe, either directly or indirectly.

Present on the occasion were actor Dino Morea, activist Subhashree Das, Director Asian Cancer Institute Mumbai Savant and AMRI Asian Cancer Institute, Bhubaneswar Dr Dhairyasheel, AVP Medical Administration AMRI Dr Chirantan Bose and unit head CLN Reddy.

In view of the tremendous increase in cancer patients in Odisha, AMRI ACI has come up with a three- pronged intervention - early detection and screening (SAHYOG Clinic and screening packages), Holistic and comprehensive treatment at AMRI ACI and URJA – A cancer support group for cancer warriors, Dr Bose told.

On this occasion, a unique initiative named URJA – AMRI Cancer Support was launched by AMRI for supporting cancer patients and survivors across all its hospitals.
