A total of eight roads and two bridges are being constructed in insurgency-infested Kondagaon district by the State Public Works Department, an official press release informed on Saturday.
The total length of the eight roads is around 162.50 kilometres. Total investment is Rs 130.77 crore .
PWD Minister Tamradwaj Sahu called upon the officials to speed up the works and complete them in a time-bound and phase manner.
He added that construction of roads will lead to the rapid progress in the insurgency infested regions of the State.
The Department officials said that an amount of Rs 25.37 crore had been sanctioned for the Keshkaal/ Kondagaon- Farasgaon-Cherribeda road (34.20 km) . Kondagaon- Narayanpur-Mardapaal-Matwaal-Retang road (51.40 km) will be laid at a cost of Rs 38.27 crore . Keshkaal-Badedongar-Devgaon road (10 km) will be laid at a cost of Rs 4.96 crore.
Ranpaal-Hadeli (6.50 km) road will be laid at a cost of Rs 3.60 crore. Bamhani-Amargaon (13.70 kms) road will be laid at a cost of Rs 9.91 crore. Dehikonga-Golawaand (15.20 kms) will be laid at a cost of Rs 11.45 crore . Keshkaal-Salhetola- (Dhudhawa) Vishrampuri- Keshkaal road ( 15.60 km) will be laid at a cost of Rs 29.46 crore . Amrawati-Mohlahee (11.20 km) road will be laid at a cost of Rs 2.67 crore. Raanapal-Hadeli Khodsa canal bridge will be built at a cost of Rs 2.45 crore . Another bridge will come up on Hadeli canal at a cost of Rs 2.65 crore. Orders had been issued to complete the works in a phased manner, officials informed.
