A 22-year-old was allegedly stabbed to death by three assailants over personal enmity on Tuesday night in Mahendra Park area of national Capital.
The deceased, identified as Suraj Pal was a resident of Jahangirpuri in North west Delhi. According to Aslam Khan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), North-west district, they have received a Police Control Room (PCR) call at around 11:22 pm on Tuesday regarding the incident.
"A team had rushed to the spot where Suraj was found lying in pool of blood. He was rushed to the BJRM Hospital in the area for treatment but seeing Suraj in critical condition the doctors referred him to BSA Hospital where during treatment he succumbed to his injuries around 2 am on Wednesday," said the DCP.
"During our initial investigation we came to know that the accused were known to Suraj. They have stabbed him with a knife. Suraj was killed over personal enmity," said the DCP.
"We have registered a case under section 302, 34 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) at police station Mahendra Park. Efforts are being made to nab the culprits who were known to deceased," the DCP added.
