In an unprecedented incident, Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) supporters created a ruckus in front of the party office when some of them were not allowed to participate in the meeting convened by party supreme Mayawati here on Tuesday.
The dispute arose in the morning at around 0900 hrs before the start of the meeting when a party lok Sabha candidate from Mathura Yogesh Kumar Dwivedi was not allowed to enter the party office. He squatted on the road while his supporters raise anti-Mayawati slogans.Never in the recent past, anyone dared to raise any protest against Mayawati as BSP is recognised as one of the most disciplined political outfits of the country.
later on the intervention of the senior leaders and security personnel the protesters were removed and the Mathura candidate was given entry. But still some people waved a banner which said, “Behenji suno Dalito ki pukar, Nahi to khatam ho jayega Janadhar (Sister hear the voice of the Dalits or your base vote would eradicate).
However, Mayawati addressed the meeting of the party national leaders here and discussed the reason behind debacle of the party in the lok Sabha elections. BSP did not win a lS seat in UP or any other state but its vote-share in UP was around 19.6 per cent.
