3rd SOA university convocation on Apr 19
Bhubaneswar: The 3rd annual convocation of the SOA University would be held on April 19 at the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER). Former Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police Dr Chandra Bhanu Satpathy would grace the occasion as the chief guest. Dr Avinash Chander, Scientific Advisor to the Defence Minister and Director General of Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO) would be the guest of honour on the occasion. Along with the chief guest and guest of honour, six other eminent persons from different walks of life would be conferred with Honoris Causa). They are Systems Engineering Board Chairman Dr Kota Harinarayana, Space Commission and ISRO Chairman Dr Kopillil Radhakrishnan, Jnanpith award winner Sitakant Mohapatra, Prof Kasturi lal Chopra, eminent scientist Dr Kiran Karnik and Prof Venkat Raman Nagarajan, Professor Emeritus in Neuroscience, Dr MGR Medical University, Tamil Nadu.
SBI donates aqua cooler for city public
Bhubaneswar: The State Bank of India (SBI) local Head Office has donated a purified cold drinking water machine for the general public on the occasion of the Odia New Year and Dr BR Ambedkar Jayanti. SBI Bhubaneswar Circle Chief General Manager KM Trivedi inaugurated the permanent facility in the presence of General Manager Rajiv Varma, Zone-I DGM Surya Prasd CVRS, Zone-Il DGM Srikant and AGM SK Mohapatra.
