The State Government is likely to announce new Tehsil at Chakisain in Pauri district of Garhwal division on December 14.
Sources confirmed that Badri Kedar Templa Samiti's chairman and MlA Ganesh Godiyal and MP Satpal Maharaj are also likely to be available at the function. While informing about the schedule programme, Vishnu Prasad Chamoli told that notification has been already done for Tehsil. He further told that around 155 villages would be benefited once the Tehsil started functioning in the near future.
According to him, Patti Dhaijuli and Kandarasyun and adjoining villages would be among the major beneficiaries after the announcement by the Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna on December 14. He claimed that villagers are forced to traverse nearly 70-80 kilometers to get their job done at Thailisain and sometimes the villagers are also forced to visit Thailisain many times. Chamoli told that new Tehsil will not only save the time of villagers but also it will also help the villagers to restrain their transportation charges.
