Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Wednesday claimed that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was responsible for the scam in the Professional Examination Board in the State.
Singh was on a three-day tour of Malwa region of the State that started on Wednesday from Neemuch. Malwa region is considered as nursery of the Sangh pariwar and talking of Congress, Digvijay Singh is considered as the most powerful party leader in this region.
Singh chose this stronghold of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to dismantle its fort. On the first day of his tour of the region the former chief minister addressed public meetings at Jawad, Manasa and Neemuch.
Addressing the public meetings the senior Congress leader attacked on the State BJP Government for the rampart corruption and especially mentioned the recent PMT scam.
“The PMT scam has been done by the persons nominated by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan right under his nose. Now it is the people to decide whether he was involved or not in this scam,” he added.
He said the BJP Government was looting the people of the State and was disturbing the poor. Many farmers were so upset in the BJP rule that they were committing suicide. BJP has become a household of corrupt, he added.
The Congress veteran said that Congress provided unemployment allowance to the youth while the BJP Government was looting the youth. We waived off farmers loan and provided single point electricity connections to them. If voted to power in the State the Congress party would waive off farmers electricity bills and loans up to Rs 50,000, he added.
Earlier in the day before starting his tour the Congress general secretary reached the famous Sanwaliya Seth temple at Malwa - Mewar junction and offered prayers. Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee chief Kantilal Bhuria and MP Meenakshi Natrajan were accompanying him.
