The Pioneer opens Keralam edition office

Keralam Legislative Assembly Speaker Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, Keralam Director General of Police (DGP) Ravada A Chandrashekhar, IPS, on Wednesday inaugurated The Pioneer’s Keralam edition office in the State Capital, marking the publication’s expansion into God’s Own Country.
Addressing the gathering, Radhakrishnan said The Pioneer, founded in 1865, is the second-oldest English daily in the country and has built a reputation for credibility and journalistic integrity over more than a century. He expressed confidence that the Keralam edition would uphold the newspaper’s legacy of responsible journalism.
Speaking on the occasion, Chandrashekhar sought the support of The Pioneer in creating public awareness against drug abuse. Referring to the State Police’s anti-narcotics campaign, ‘Thufan’, he said the media has a vital role in mobilising public opinion and encouraging community participation in the fight against narcotics.
The event was hosted by Sudhakar Goud Bandi, Chairman and Managing Director of Amogh Publication Networks Pvt. Ltd., the publisher of the Keralam Edition. Thanking The Pioneer’s Delhi-headquartered management, Bandi said the newspaper would remain committed to fact-based reporting, public-interest journalism and comprehensive coverage of developments in Keralam.
M Nagesh Rao Vanse, Karnataka Congress Committee Vice President, Father Jacob Vadakkel were also present at the inaugural function along with media professionals, public representatives, senior officials and invited guests.
