Scottish MSP Martyn Day marries Kerala's Nithin Chand at Guruvayur

Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) Martyn Day tied the knot with his wife, Nithin Chand who is a native of Kerala, at the famed Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple, fulfilling her long-cherished wish to marry at the shrine, family sources said.
The traditional wedding ceremony was held later at an auditorium in the temple town on Tuesday, with close relatives and friends of the couple in attendance.
An SNP politician, Day also shared photographs from his traditional Guruvayur wedding on his Facebook page.
Nithin, a native of Pampakuda in Ernakulam district, moved to the UK in 2008 for higher studies, where she met Day, the sources said.
The couple had earlier married in the UK, but Nithin's wish to hold the ceremony at Guruvayur was delayed for several reasons, including the Kerala floods and the Covid-19 pandemic.
