July 31 deadline for Padma Awards 2027 nominations
Citizens can file nominations and recommendations for the Padma Awards to be announced on Republic Day, 2027, by July 31 this year, a government statement said Monday.
The suggestions will only be received online on the Rashtriya Puraskar Portal (https://awards.gov.in), it said.
The civilian honours - Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri - are amongst the highest awards of the country.
Instituted in 1954, the civilian honours are announced on the Republic Day every year. “
The awards seek to recognise ‘work of distinction’ and are given for distinguished and exceptional achievements/service in all fields/disciplines.
