Jamia Hamdard hosts crossword contest under three-day national programme

Jamia Hamdard successfully hosted a vibrant and intellectually stimulating Crossword Contest as part of a three-day national programme organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and the Ministry of Home Affairs. The university proudly served as the host institution for this prestigious event, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various institutions.
The occasion was graced by distinguished dignitaries including Vivek Kumar Singh, Chairman, RERA, Professor (Dr) M Afshar Alam, Vice Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard, Colonel Tahir Mustafa, Registrar, Mr SS Akhtar, Controller of Examinations, and Javed, Coordinator, NSS. The program was efficiently conducted by Vinayak Ekbote.
A total of 175 students from Kashmir and various colleges of the University of Delhi participated in the contest, showcasing exceptional linguistic skills, quick thinking, and a passion for learning. The event served as a platform to promote intellectual engagement, teamwork, and healthy competition among youth.
The event was supported by Beltron and Central Bank of India . The winners under category are Adya Singh of St Stephen’s College, Mohammad Aniese Itoo from Government Degree College (GDC) and Nusrat Fayaz from GDC Sopore. While in category 2 were Mudassir Rashid followed by Zainab Rehan and Areeb Ali Hashmi.
The dignitaries congratulated all participants and winners for their commendable performance and encouraged students to continue engaging in such academic and co-curricular activities that foster knowledge, creativity, and national integration.
