Indian Army strengthens civil–military synergy

In a significant outreach initiative reinforcing the spirit of civil–military fusion, Army personnel from the Spearhead Division conducted a meaningful visit to Padma awardee Yanung Jamoh Lego at Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh. The interaction aimed at fostering greater coordination and mutual understanding between the Armed Forces and civil society while celebrating exemplary contributions towards cultural preservation and community development.
The visit underscored the Indian Army’s continued commitment to strengthening bonds with local communities and recognising individuals whose dedication and service contribute to nation-building. During the engagement, soldiers interacted with the distinguished awardee, gaining insights into the region’s rich cultural heritage and indigenous traditions.
As a mark of deep respect and appreciation, the Padma Shri awardee was felicitated by the Army contingent in recognition of outstanding service to society and enduring efforts towards safeguarding the cultural legacy.
