Durlabh Darshan plans 6D virtual spiritual experience centres

Spiritual technology platform Durlabh Darshan has announced the launch of what it claims are the world’s first large-scale 6D immersive spiritual experience centres, using virtual reality (VR) technology to offer devotees a digitally enhanced temple experience. Actor Ashutosh Rana has joined the initiative as its brand ambassador and mentor.
The platform aims to enable devotees to virtually visit some of India’s most prominent temples through immersive experiences that recreate temple rituals and surroundings. Besides VR visuals, the 6D technology incorporates environmental elements such as air, water, and fragrance to simulate the atmosphere of the temple.
Announcing the initiative at a press conference in New Delhi, Rana said the platform seeks to bridge spirituality and technology by making temple experiences accessible to devotees regardless of their location.
“Religion has its own science, and science has its own spirituality. Where the two meet, that is Durlabh Darshan. This is the world’s first 6D spiritual experience that allows people to connect with divinity from anywhere,” he said.
According to the company, the first phase of the project will feature immersive experiences from 11 prominent temples across the country. The series will begin on July 1 with presentations on “Shri Ram Ki Ayodhya” and “Ujjaini Ke Mahakaal,” with Rana narrating the mythology and spiritual significance associated with each destination.
The content for the experiences has been written by author Aalok Shrivastav, known for his work on spiritual literature, including an interpretation of the Shiv Tandav Stotra narrated by Rana.
Prashant Mishra, founder of Durlabh Darshan and TechXR Innovations, said the platform has been developed to address the challenges faced by devotees who often have limited time for temple visits due to heavy crowds.
“Our immersive centres recreate the sanctity of temple rituals, allowing devotees to feel as if they are inside the sanctum. Through our mobile VR kits, users can also experience over 60 sacred locations from home,” Mishra said.
The company said it plans to expand its offerings to include immersive experiences of the Char Dham Yatra, the 12 Jyotirlingas, Shakti Peeths, Jagannath Rath Yatra, Vrindavan Parikrama and Kailash Mansarovar.
According to Durlabh Darshan, the 6D technology has been developed entirely in India and combines VR headsets with specialised equipment that simulates environmental effects in real time. The company said it has filed a patent for the technology.
Durlabh Darshan currently operates experience centres across seven states, including locations at Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi, Mahakaleshwar in Ujjain, Vaishno Devi, Ayodhya, Haridwar, Nagpur and Delhi. The company claims that its services have been used by lakhs of devotees.
The company has also introduced a commerce platform called “Shubh Darshan,” which offers smart devotional frames and idols powered by augmented reality (AR) technology to facilitate guided rituals and interactive spiritual experiences at home.
With the launch of its 6D experience centres, Durlabh Darshan aims to expand access to India’s religious heritage by combining immersive technology with traditional spiritual practices.
