44-year-old labourer killed, another injured in fall at Delhi property

A 44-year-old labourer died and another suffered serious injuries after the two allegedly fell from a height while doing whitewashing work at a property in Delhi's Fateh Nagar, police said on Saturday.
The incident was reported on Friday after police received a PCR call about two workers falling at the site.
By the time the police team reached the spot, both men had been taken to nearby hospitals, an officer said.
One of the workers, identified as Munna Shah, was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The other worker, Rajesh, was admitted to Dashmesh Hospital with serious injuries. Police said he was not in a condition to give a statement.
The crime team and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team examined the site as part of the investigation.
Police said the preliminary inquiry, including the inspection of the site and medical evidence, suggested that the two men fell from a height while carrying out the whitewashing work without adequate safety measures.
A case has been registered at Hari Nagar police station and further investigation is underway.
