Cricket legends rally for Imran Khan
By Pioneer News Service

Indian cricket legends, including Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev, have voiced “deep concern” over the reported deterioration of jailed former Pakistan captain and Prime Minister Imran Khan’s health. In a joint letter titled Appeal by Former International Cricket Captains, 14 ex-captains urged the Pakistan Government to ensure proper medical care, humane detention and transparent legal access for the 73-year-old, currently held at Adiala Jail. Reports claim Khan has lost nearly 85% vision in his right eye due to alleged medical neglect. He is serving a 14-year sentence in a corruption case and was Prime Minister from 2018 to 2022.
