CBI produces all 5 NEET-UG paper leak accused before Delhi Court

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) produced 5 accused before a Delhi court in connection with the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case, intensifying the ongoing investigation into irregularities in the national medical entrance examination.
The accused were presented before CBI Special Judge Ajay Gupta after being arrested from multiple states, including Maharashtra and Rajasthan, as part of coordinated nationwide action by the agency.
According to officials, the individuals were taken into custody over their alleged involvement in the paper leak network, with investigators suspecting a wider inter-state conspiracy behind the case.
The accused have been identified as Shubham Khairnar from Nashik, Mangilal Biwal, Vikas Biwal, and Dinesh Biwal from Jaipur, and Yash Yadav from Gurugram.
Khairnar, a resident of Maharashtra’s Nashik district, was earlier brought to Delhi after the CBI secured a transit remand from a Mumbai court.
Officials told the court that custodial interrogation was necessary as the probe indicated involvement of multiple individuals across different states.
The NEET-UG 2026 examination had earlier been cancelled following allegations of a paper leak, prompting a comprehensive investigation by the CBI on the directions of the government.
The agency is now examining the role of each accused and tracing possible links to a wider network involved in the alleged malpractice.
