The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha today attacked the BJP by alleging that there has been extortion of people in the name of registration for BJP’s proposed GoGo Didi scheme before the Assembly polls.
JMM General Secretary cum Spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said in a press conference on Saturday that before the elections, BJP has committed fraud in the name of Gogo Didi scheme. He said that Rs 500 each was charged in the name of filling the Gogo Didi form, that money will now be recovered.
Supriyo also said that by getting the Gogo Didi scheme implemented from the center, Rs 2100 should be given to all the women across the country.
Bhattacharya said that social security is our first priority. Especially women empowerment and making them financially strong is our priority. We had said that from December, we had promised to increase the amount of women's honorarium to Rs 2500, which has been fulfilled.
For the first time in the country, a government is giving Rs 2500 per month to such a large number of 56 lakh women. No government in the country has done economic empowerment of women on such a large scale. He said that those who did not receive the money for the month of December, their accounts will be credited with Rs 5000 at once.
Supriyo targeted state BJP president Babulal Marandi and said that he is a great scholar of BJP. More than a month has passed since the formation of the assembly but he has not yet got a leader of the legislative party. He said that they had promised to buy paddy at Rs 3200 per quintal but it was not fulfilled. BJP should tell when it has bought paddy at MSP during its tenure. Hundreds of farmers have lost their lives in the country. The Agriculture Minister was in Jharkhand for 4 months. Once again BJP is spreading confusion in Jharkhand.
Supriyo Bhattacharya said that all government appointments will be done this year. But stop creating hurdles now. I request all the youth not to fall into the vicious circle of BJP. And do not go to court for every matter. If you have solid evidence, then inform the state government about it. The recruitment process will start soon. Wherever there will be appointments, local people of Jharkhand will be appointed.
