Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday said that the upcoming State budget will prioritise the prosperity of every citizen and the welfare of all communities. Suggestions are being sought from every section and individual of the state for the budget and the experiences and excellent suggestions of the youth will also be reflected in Haryana's budget, he added.
Presiding over a pre-budget consultation meeting with youth at Kurukshetra University, the Chief Minister said that the state government's vision for the upcoming budget is to meet the expectations and hopes of every Haryanvi and bring prosperity to the general public.
Saini said that today, youth from Super 100, startups, and young entrepreneurs have given valuable suggestions for the budget. He emphasised that the suggestions received from youth in the previous budget were included, and this time, a portal has been launched to get suggestions from the general public. Anyone can provide suggestions on any field or topic through this portal, said Saini.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has worked to strengthen the youth power of the country through programmes like startups. Such programmes are helping youth move forward rapidly in every field worldwide. The upcoming budget would focus on benefiting youth, ensuring that youth power contributes to the state's development.
Govt to soon give plots to 1 lakh people
In another programme, addressing the gathering during the Abhinandan Samman Samaroh organized at Gupti Dham premises located in Ganaur of Sonipat, the Chief Minister said that during the Assembly elections, the Opposition played politics of lies and promised to give jobs in exchange for votes, but the people of the State showed the mirror to those who wanted to sell government jobs and elected a BJP government again. “Today, the child of a poor person in the state is becoming successful on the basis of his hard work, because the atmosphere has changed due to the basic mantra of BJP of giving jobs without 'kharchi-parchi',” he added.
Saini said, “Before taking oath, our government gave jobs to 24,000 youth without 'parchi-kharchi'. Today, even a child from a poor family is getting a job on big posts in the Haryana Government. As soon as the government was formed, we made many decisions for the welfare of the people. We started a free dialysis facility for kidney patients. Apart from this, we passed a Bill in the Assembly to give ownership rights of land at collector rate to the people who have been living in houses built on panchayat land for a long time. In the last 10 years, strong development work has been done in Haryana. The present government is working in the interest of the poor.
He said as per the promise of providing a roof over every head, plots will soon be provided to one lakh poor people in the state, and for this, the government has prepared a complete plan. He said that the previous governments only made announcements of giving plots of 100-100 square yards, but neither any papers were given to the poor, nor the possession of the plot. Understanding the pain of those people, the present state government has done the work of giving the registry and possession of the plots to the people, the Chief Minister added.
After paying floral tributes to the statue of Swami Vivekananda at a programme in Ambala, Saini said that the State Government is fulfilling the dreams of youth by following the footsteps of Swami Vivekananda. The present state government has provided jobs to youth based on merit. The state's goal is to make every youth skilled and financially prosperous by 2030. To achieve this goal, various plans are being implemented with effective steps.
He said, “Our country is known for its festivals, each of which has its own special significance. Swami Vivekananda had worked to bring India’s culture and glory to the world. Swami Vivekananda is an inspiration to the youth, which is why his birth anniversary is celebrated as National Youth Day.
The Chief Minister said that in the last 10 years, the present state government has provided more than 1.71 lakh government jobs to youth based on merit, without any favoritism or corruption. He said that through the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam, the government has not only provided jobs but also ensured job security for the youth.
The Chief Minister also urged the youth to participate in politics. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called upon the youth of the country that they should come forward in active politics, because youth are the future of this country, he added.
