Guv, MoS, Defence attend ABPSSP mega conference in city

The two day Maha Sammelan organized by All India Ex-Servicemen Service Council (ABPSSP), Jharkhand concluded with great success and splendour at Ranchi. Ex-servicemen, women empowerment and dignitaries from various parts of the state participated in the conference. The objective of the program was to promote welfare, economic empowerment and organizational unity of ex-servicemen.

The Chief Guest of the program was Governor Santosh Gangwar, Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, Major General Param Vir Singh, VSM (GOC-23 Mountain Division), Lieutenant General Vishnu Kant Chaturvedi, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, Air Vice Marshal H P Singh VrC, VSM, Smt. Maya Kaul, National Convener Women Power were some of the distinguished guests who attended the event.

The conference was inaugurated with lighting of lamps and offering of flowers on 11th January. National President Lieutenant General Vishnu Kant Chaturvedi, National Vice President Air Vice Marshal H P Singh, State President Colonel A.R. Sinha inaugurated the function along with National Matrishakti Convenor Maya Kaul and other office bearers of the State Executive, State Vice President Colonel Neelambar Jha, Rajesh Pandey and State Matrishakti Convenor Poonam.

Special guests were felicitated at the conference, which included gallantry award winners and other prominent persons associated with the organization. Nilima Kumar, wife of Brigadier Ravi Kumar, Vir Chakra, Chaitali C Sinha, wife of Major Shyamal Sinha Vir Chakra, Honorary Captain Mago Bading, Sena Medal, Honorary Captain B K Singh, Sena Medal heroes were felicitated. Their stories were not only inspiring but also a symbol of the basic spirit of the organization.

 

A special session on formation of cooperative institutions was organized in the Maha Sammelan, in which economic empowerment in sectors like dairy, fisheries, and poultry was discussed. Apart from this, important information was also shared on topics like financial management, pension facilities, and cyber security. Expert speakers made ex-servicemen and their families aware in these areas. Captain Kumar Anees and Lieutenant Colonel Chandni Chako shared the measures to maintain a healthy lifestyle after 60 years.

District Council Presidents of various districts of Jharkhand, Ranchi, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Lohardaga, Jamshedpur, gave information about the work done in their areas. The stage was conducted by State Secretary Anup Kumar and District Council Ranchi Matrishakti President President Rajesh Pandey.

The second day started with paying floral tribute to the martyred soldiers. After this, the presentation of the theme song of the organization revealed the unity and purpose of the organization. The Governor agreed to the development of Jari village (Gumla) of Albert Ekka, awarded Lance Naik Paramveer Chakra. Honorable Sanjay Seth assured to complete it this year. Like other states, Jharkhand also agreed on reservation for ex-servicemen in government and public sector jobs. Minister of State for Defence and others reiterated their commitment towards the welfare of ex-servicemen and their demands and rights through their inspirational speeches.

Another important attraction of the conference was the documentary screening, which showed in detail the achievements and objectives of All India Ex-Servicemen Service Council. Cultural presentations also added to the grandeur of the event. Patriotic songs and dances inspired all the participants and added to the grandeur of the conference.

At the end of the conference, State President Colonel A.R. Sinha thanked everyone. He appreciated all the persons who contributed in making the program a success. He said that this Mahasammelan is an important step towards the welfare and empowerment of ex-servicemen.
