Under the directives of District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, a comprehensive crackdown on illegal mining and transportation has been underway for the past three days. On January 9, 2025, the District Mining Office, East Singhbhum, Jamshedpur seized a vehicle (registration number JH05AY-5242) involved in the illegal transportation of sand minerals under Kadma Police Station jurisdiction. The vehicle was handed over to the Kadma Police Station.
On January 10, 2025, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Dhalbhum, in coordination with the Governmentpur Police Station, seized one vehicle involved in illegal transportation of sand minerals. The vehicle was then handed over to the Governmentpur Police Station.
Furthermore, on January 11, 2025, the District Mining Office carried out another action and seized a vehicle (registration number BR10GA-7563) for transporting sand minerals illegally under MGM Police Station jurisdiction. A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed at MGM Police Station in connection with the incident.
