Yellow alert issued for heavy rains in Jharkhand

The weather of the capital Ranchi suddenly changed on Tuesday. After 6 pm, it suddenly started raining with thunderstorms. However, the rain stopped after some time. A yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain.

 

The weather is dry right now. But there is a possibility of rain again. Actually, a low pressure is forming in the Bay of Bengal. Its partial effect can be seen in many parts of Jharkhand. The weather center has predicted heavy rain in many districts due to this pressure. Its effect can also be seen in Ranchi on September 26 and September 27. The weather center has predicted that there may be heavy rain at some places in the Santhal Pargana area on September 25.

 

On September 26, there is an alert for heavy rain at some places in Godda, Sahibganj, Pakur, Deoghar, Jamtara, Dumka, Giridih, Dhanbad, Koderma, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Ranchi, Ramgarh and Chatra. On September 27, a yellow alert has been issued for rain in Garhwa, Palamu, Latehar, Chatra, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, Bokaro, Giridih, Dhanbad, Deoghar, Jamtara, Dumka, Godda, Sahibganj and Pakur. If it rains, the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to fall.

 

Jharkhand has received normal rainfall after three years. According to the data of the Meteorological Department, till September 23, Jharkhand received 939.3 mm of rain, which is 4 percent less than normal. Due to cyclonic circulation in the recent past, almost all the districts of Jharkhand received good rain. However, in five districts, the figure of less than normal rainfall is more than -20. According to the data, Pakur has received the least rainfall.

 

Pakur has received 51 percent less rainfall till September 23. So far, Pakur has received 552.4 mm of rainfall, while the normal rainfall is 1134.4 mm. At the same time, Deoghar, Chatra, Sahibganj have also received less than normal rainfall.

 

Dhanbad received heavy rainfall in the year 2024. Dhanbad received 30 percent more rainfall till September 23. So far, Dhanbad has received 1322.4 mm of rainfall, while the normal rainfall there is 1016 mm. At the same time, the capital Ranchi has received 16 percent more rainfall than normal. So far, Ranchi has received 1155.4 mm of rainfall. There are chances of rain in Jharkhand till September 28 in the coming days.
