A 22-year-old married woman who attempted suicide by self immolating died on Sunday morning while undergoing treatment; woman attempted suicide at Banganga area, her edited photo was made viral by a young man which was the reason behind her suicide.

Complaints were made from the police station to the cyber cell. But, when no action was taken, the woman set her ablaze. The woman's husband died 3 years ago. Since then she has been living in her maternal home (Banganga area) with her 3 year old daughter.

Yasin Khan, a relative of the woman resident of Banganga, said that Ashiya Khan was married in 2020 and had a 3 year old daughter from the marriage. After the death of her husband, we wanted to get Ashiya married for the second time and were in talk for marriage with a young man living in Saud but accused Sunil broke that relationship talk as he wanted to live with Ashiya and used to force her to live together. He used to threaten on phone every day.

Complaints about this were made from TT Nagar police station to Cyber Crime but no action was taken. Meanwhile, the edited photos were sent to her relatives by the accused.

Disturbed by this action of the young man, Ashiya set herself ablaze in her house on March 8. She died on Sunday morning after two days of treatment. Before her death, her statement was recorded on the mobile phone by her family members, in these statements also she has taken the name of the boy who was harassing her. Yasin says that action should be taken against the accused.

Ashiya's daughter Sadaf (3) was born in the year 2021. On the same day, Ashiya's husband Shadab Khan was murdered by slitting his throat in Gautam Nagar area. The crime was committed by his friend Nadeem alias Bacha. Shadab was a history-sheeter.
