The son and wife of an ASI living in Vishal Nagar Colony of Neelbad, Bhopal have been accused of cruelty to a pet puppy. After a video of cruelty to a dog surfaced, the dog was rescued by animal lovers and kept in a dog shelter home in Ratibad. It was treated.

The incident is 9 months old, the video of which is now going viral.

It is being claimed that before the rescue, both the front legs of the dog were broken. The ASI has denied any kind of cruelty. He said that the video is old.

Swati Gaurav, President of People for Animals, said  ASI Mohan Lal's neighborhood people had complained. They said that his wife and son beat the pet dog. The dog is constantly kicked.

Due to this, both the front legs of the dog were broken. After the intervention of senior officials, the custody of the dog was handed over to the ASI's family.

The team of Jeev Jantu Vihar and People for Animals rescued the dog. At present, the dog is safe in the shelter home. It was also treated.

ASI Mohan Lal posted at Siroj police station of Vidisha district said the puppy was gifted by his nephew. It was a female puppy of German Shepherd breed. He kept it in his house located in Vishal Nagar Phase-2 of Neelbad.

His wife and son used to train it. No cruelty was done to it. A family living in front has made their video viral.

We did not get along with that family. So they have made the video viral with the intention of defaming us. When the NGO people reached the house, I was not present there.

The family had handed over the puppy to the NGO employees without any protest. This entire incident is about 9 months old. Tried to take the puppy back twice, but the NGO people kept misleading us. Till now the puppy has not been returned to me.
