Hailing from a farmer’s background from Haryana’s Sonipat, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad’s (ABVP) presidential pick for Delhi University Student Union (DUSU) polls Rishabh Chuadhary was drawn by the RSS backed student body’s discipline and aims to work especially towards the betterment of sports facilities in the campus.

Stepped into the Delhi University in 2018 for pursuing History and Political Science from Shyam Lal College, Chaudhary, an outsider in the new city, was welcomed by the workers of the student body, when he also witnessed the problems that such student from other states face including the high rent prices of pgs and vowed to work for the betterment of basic amenities.

“I came to Delhi University in 2018, when I was in my first year. I was among the socially active students and met ABVP workers and leaders then. I was impressed and attracted by the discipline of the organisation. Gradually, I started working as a student on the problems I saw and then here I am,” he said.

“I come from a rural area from Haryana’s Sonipat. Since I come from a farming family, ofcourse,in the beginning, there are many problems. Many students come here as students from other states face many problems including many can’t pay the rent here. Keeping these problems in mind, we will work on them,” he added.

The young leader of the student wing of RSS is highly impressed by the work of senior BJP leader and Union Minister for Road, Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari as he travels across the country whenever he gets a chance.  “I like Nitin Gadkari as a leader. See, I have a hobby and like to travel.

When there are vacations in Delhi, university is closed and the campus is empty, I travel on road to the south and visit temples since I am a religious person. When I see his work, I feel very happy,” Chaudhary said, expressing his happiness on the improvement of roads in the country.

Rishabh has a strong interest in volleyball, wrestling and kabaddi, and he has been consistently working towards improving sports facilities at the university. He acknowledged the talent of the students in the university and said, “There is so much talent in Delhi University, you can’t ignore it.

I don’t know which Olympian will be with us in the future. We will work on the national and international level to make it better.

Also, national and international coaches will be called for some time to give them coaching.”

He expressed that the ABVP will win the elections by 4-0 and win the student body elections unanimously.
