Voting on November 13 in Lohardaga district, MCC implemented

Important dates of Assembly Elections-2024 have been announced. Regarding this, a press conference was organized on Tuesday in the Collectorate Hall by District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Dr. Waghmare Prasad Krishna and Police Captain Haris Bin Zaman. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that as soon as the dates of Assembly Elections-2024 were announced, the Model Code of Conduct has been implemented in the entire area. Flying squad and static surveillance team have also been formed to comply with the model code of conduct. Sector Officer and Sector Police Officer have also been appointed. The first phase of training is being given to the officials/personnel related to polling deputed for the elections. Minimum basic facilities have been provided at the polling stations. Wherever complaints of deficiencies are coming, they are being rectified. As per the announced dates, election notification will be issued on 18 November 2024, in which nominations will be filled by the candidates till 25 November. Scrutiny of the nomination forms filled will be done on November 28. There will be time to withdraw nominations till 30th November. There are a total of 428 polling stations as on 13 November 2024, including 324 in 72-Lohardaga area and 104 in 69-Bishnupur (part). Voting will take place at all centres. Counting of votes will take place on 23 November 2024. DEO cum Deputy Commissioner said that there are a total of 3,74,241 (three lakh seventy four thousand two hundred forty one) voters in the district, out of which the number of female voters is 1,89,774 and the number of male voters is 1,84,467. In which the total number of voters in 72-Lohardaga is 287145. In which the number of women is 145848 and the number of men is 141297. Similarly, in 69-Bishunpur (Part) the total number of voters is 87096, out of which the number of women are 43926 and the number of men are 43170. On this occasion, Superintendent of Police Haris Bin Jama, Returning Officer cum SDM Amit Kumar, ITDA Project Director Sushma Neelam Soreng, Additional Collector Jitendra Munda, District Panchayat Raj Officer Anjana Das, Sub-Divisional Officer Amit Kumar, Deputy Election Officer Dheeraj Thakur, District Officer in the press conference. Public Relations Officer Shivanandan Badaik, Assistant Returning Officer cum CO Ashutosh, KISCO CO Ajay Kumar, Kudu CO Mrs. Madhushree Mishra and other officials were present.

In the press conference, SP Haris Bin Zaman said that complete security arrangements will be made for the voters in Naxal affected areas also. Force will be deployed as per requirement. Necessary decisions will be taken after reviewing the booth as per requirement. The Lok Sabha elections were peaceful. This time also the district administration is fully prepared. The district administration appeals that voters should come to the polling centers fearlessly and vote.
