In Kushinagar, three young friends—Aman Bharti (19), Anshu Gupta (19), and Sahil Patel (18)—were on a morning walk when they were hit by a speeding Scorpio.
The incident occurred in the four-lane area under the Kasya police station.
Two of the youths died on the spot, while Sahil later succumbed to injuries at Gorakhpur Medical College.
The trio was walking on the service lane near the Pakwa Inar intersection when the Scorpio, travelling from Bihar to Gorakhpur, struck them from behind.
Bystanders reported that the occupants of the Scorpio fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle. Villagers quickly transported the critically injured youths to Kasya CHC, where Aman and Anshu were pronounced dead.
Sahil was later admitted to Gorakhpur Medical College but could not survive.
In Fatehpur district, another road accident claimed three lives on Wednesday morning. Near the Barouri toll plaza in the Kalyanpur police station area, a car (Baleno) travelling from Kannauj to Prayagraj collided with a parked trailer at high speed, causing significant damage to the vehicle.
Two occupants died at the scene, while a third individual succumbed to injuries during treatment at the district hospital. The deceased were identified through their Aadhaar cards as Manoj Shukla (65), Avinash Chand Dubey (64), and the driver, Kaushal Kumar Tiwari (40).
The police informed the relatives and sent the bodies for autopsy. Eyewitnesses claimed that the accident occurred when the trailer suddenly turned, causing the speeding Baleno to lose control.

The accident occurred late Tuesday night, and all those injured were rushed to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead upon arrival.
