Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, welcoming the decisions made by the Union Cabinet.

Following the cabinet meeting chaired by Modi, he took to X to highlight the prime minister’s “unwavering” dedication to farmers’ welfare and the continuous progress in the agriculture sector.

He stated, “The Union Cabinet’s decision to increase the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for Rabi crops—wheat, barley, gram, lentil, rapeseed, mustard, and safflower—for the Rabi marketing season 2025-26 is highly commendable. This decision will bring positive change to the lives of farmers and encourage greater investment in agriculture. Heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister for this decision that will enhance the income of our farmer brothers!”

CM Yogi also praised the Union Cabinet’s decision to increase the dearness allowance (DA) for Central government employees, calling it a significant move. He noted that the cabinet approved a 3% increase in basic salary and pensions, raising the total DA from 50%.

In his post, he thanked the prime minister for this festive season gift to Central employees.

Additionally, he appreciated the cabinet’s approval for the construction of a rail-and-road bridge over the Ganga river in Varanasi.

He remarked that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, Kashi is reaching new heights of development.

“To support this growth, the Cabinet approved the bridge project and the Varanasi-Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay multitrack,” he stated. Yogi emphasised that this project will not only enhance regional development but also create new opportunities for the people of Varanasi and Chandauli.
