In accordance with the directives of the Central Vigilance Commission and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, AIIMS Bhopal is observing the Vigilance Awareness Campaign from August 16 to November 15, 2024. As part of this initiative, a lecture on "Cyber Hygiene and Security" was organized on Monday, 4th November 2024. On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, said, "AIIMS Bhopal is committed to providing a safe and ethical environment for all its employees and students and ensuring they are aware of potential cyber risks. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest level of vigilance in all our activities, including digital security. In today's digital world, cyber threats pose significant challenges, particularly for healthcare institutions where sensitive information is exchanged. This lecture on 'Cyber Hygiene and Security' aims to empower our community to enhance digital security through better cyber practices."
The lecture on "Cyber Hygiene and Security" was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Deepak Singh Tomar, Head of the Department of Computer Science Engineering at MANIT, Bhopal. Dr. Tomar covered essential topics such as safe online behaviors, identifying cyber threats, and protecting both personal and institutional data. His insights encouraged attendees to recognize the importance of digital responsibility and cyber security.
The purpose of this lecture was to educate employees and students on key aspects of cyber security and equip them with measures to safeguard against digital threats.
