Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), on Tuesday, said that stopping Chief Minister, Hemant Soren's helicopter is serious matter and it is conspiracy to put his life in danger.
Addressing a press meet JMM General Secretary and Spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said that according to the rules, Soren's helicopter had to fly outside the prescribed limit and perimeter. "For this we have written a letter to the President and complained. This is a serious matter. This is a matter of keeping Hemant Soren out of public reach. It is a matter related to his security. We believe that Hemant Soren's security was in danger in this matter. There is a conspiracy behind this," he added.
Bhattacharya said that the helicopter was stopped for an hour and a half in an area from where there was no means of communication. "This is a serious matter. The CM, our star campaigner, his security was tampered with.
JMM General Secretary alleged that the Election Commission did not take cognizance of this seriously. He said, we have been saying since before that there is closeness between the Election Commission and BJP. He further said, we had already told the Election Commission to postpone the election dates in view of the festivals but not even a single word of ours was heard. "Now the same Election Commission has postponed the election date in UP due to Kartik Purnima. By-elections are going to be held in UP. These people lost the elections in Ayodhya. They are again afraid of losing the by-elections in UP, so this game of dates is going on. The people in Ayodhya have told that if religion is mixed in politics, then the people will not tolerate it," he added.
Bhattacharya said that here too religious statements are being made by BJP leaders about Muslims. "Despite all this, the Election Commission is silent. The CM was put in danger, the Election Commission is silent on this too. This is the policy, let the attack by the extremists happen. In the name of PM's security, arrest the entire Jharkhand," he added.
The party Spokesperson said, the entire attitude of the Election Commission raises serious questions. He said that the Election Commission has a different attitude in our case. "BJP has a different stance. The great Hindu festival Chhath has started today. A large population has left the State. They have to return on November 12- November 13. In this way they are being deprived of the right to vote," he added.
Bhattacharya alleged that like UP, the dates of elections in Haryana were changed and the results were manipulated in their favour. "The same conspiracy is being hatched in UP as well. If the elections were held on 10 November, the trend that would have emerged would have not only lost the elections in Jharkhand, but it would have had an impact in Maharashtra as well. Their second policy is to somehow stop our CM from campaigning. They should be intimidated. They should be terrorised. Wherever the CM's helicopter goes in the forest, there is a conspiracy to stop him. You made a tribal the President. But you are putting the life of Hemant Soren, a son of this tribal land, in danger. This is a serious issue," he added.
