A felicitation ceremony was organized with great pomp and show to commend a cohort of 30 individuals who have achieved distinction by successfully completing their Solar PV Installers Trade training at Vedanta ESL Skill School. These accomplished students, hailing from the operational villages of ESL Steel Limited in Chandankiyari and Chas blocks, were recognized for their dedication and skill acquisition.
The ceremony, marked by a spirit of achievement and communal pride, witnessed the felicitation of these diligent students by Suman S Sahu, Deputy General Manager, Regional Office Ranchi, representing the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). His presence added a significant touch to the event, highlighting the collaboration between educational institutions and financial entities in fostering skill development in rural areas.
It is noteworthy that these 30 students successfully completed their course but all of them have also secured placement with Hyderabad based Premier Energies, a leading player in the renewable energy sector. Others present from NABARD at the felicitation were Sebika B. Boro and Philmoon Bilung apart from Rakesh Kumar Mishra, Dy. Head, CSR- ESL Limited. Speaking at the occasion, Rakesh Kumar Mishra, Dy Head, CSR ESL Steel Limited said, “Vedanta always believes in investing in the skill development of young talent from our operational villages which is not just a commitment; it's a strategic imperative. Through the Vedanta ESL Skill Development Project, we are not only shaping brighter futures but also building a stronger, more empowered community for sustained growth and progress." ESL Steel Limited, through Vedanta ESL Skill School, has imparted an intensive 6 week training in Solar PV Installers Trade to these 30 candidates from Chandankiyari and Chas blocks.
As a part of CSR interventions runs Vedanta ESL Skill School in partnership with SEEDS. Till date, Vedanta ESL Skill School has imparted training to more than 400 students and 323 have successfully received recruitment placement.
