Mining Deptt seizes 55 dumpers illegally transporting sand

On the first day of the year 2025, the Indore district administration took major action against the mineral mafia on Wednesday morning and 54 dumpers transporting illegal sand without paying royalty were seized.  

Indore Collector Ashish Singh has instructed the subordinate officers  and District mining officer for  surprise dumper checking campaign, under the leadership of Indore Additional Collector Jyoti Sharma, dumpers transporting minerals near Badiyakeema Reti Mandi on Indore Nemawar Road were checked.

Total 120 dumpers transporting on the route were checked, out of which 55 dumpers were illegally transporting sand without paying royalty.

Currently, several government and private construction work worth crores of rupees is going on in Indore district, in which hundreds of trucks of sand are used every day. Trucks transporting illegal sand from the surrounding districts adjoining Indore district, mainly from Dhar, Khargone, Barwani, Dewas districts, enter the border of Indore district.

Citizens say that if the mineral officers of Dhar, Barwani, Khargone and Dewas districts take action and keep an eye on the illegal transportation of sand in their districts, then dumpers filled with illegal sand should be caught before entering the border of Indore district.
