City-based V Umesh Naidu, Principal Consultant at V’s Vision & Ventures, has earned national recognition by winning the prestigious “Quality Connect Competitions Fiesta 2024”, organized by the Quality Council of India (QCI) and the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH). Naidu emerged as the top winner in the highly competitive Category-1: Healthcare Quality Pitch Competition, showcasing his expertise and innovative solutions in healthcare quality management.

The competition, held on June 14, 2024, was designed to bring together hospitals and quality professionals from across India to demonstrate their talents, skills, and insights in improving healthcare standards. Participants were invited to submit a five-slide PowerPoint presentation addressing real-world challenges in healthcare, along with creative solutions. Naidu’s entry, submitted on June 21, focused on the hard-packed ground realities faced by healthcare centers and presented groundbreaking solutions aimed at improving healthcare quality in India.

The results were announced on September 11, 2024, via LinkedIn, where Naidu’s name topped the winners’ list. What made this victory even more remarkable was the fact that no other participant from Jharkhand, Bihar, Bengal, or Odisha was named in the winners' list in this top category.

Upon receiving the award, Naidu expressed pride in not only achieving personal success but also in putting Jharkhand on the national map of healthcare quality professionals. The QCI-NABH congratulated him with the message: “Your creativity and passion for quality healthcare have set a new benchmark. Naidu, a Jamshedpur native, is a renowned quality professional specializing in Total Quality Management (TQM) services for healthcare and educational institutions. His expertise includes facilitating hospitals in obtaining NABH accreditation, as well as working with educational institutions to achieve national certifications. He is also an active member of several global professional bodies, including the Quality Council of India and the International Society for Quality in Health Care.
