The son and daughter-in-law of Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi were injured when their Mercedes car met with an accident near Kannauj.

According to reports, the car of Nandi’s son Abhishek crashed into the road divider on Agra-Lucknow Expressway near Kannauj on Tuesday night.

Abhishek and his wife Krishnaika had a narrow escape in this horrific accident but both were injured. Krishnaika suffered a serious injury on her nose.

After the accident, both were admitted to a hospital in Kannauj, from where they were referred to Lucknow after initial treatment. Both are undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Gomti Nagar Extension.

They were coming to Lucknow by Agra-Lucknow Expressway when their car went out of control and crashed into the road divider. According to information, the minister’s son was driving the Mercedes car. 

The collision was so severe that the luxury Mercedes car was badly damaged.

Abhishek and Krishnaika were married 18 days ago on July 11in Srinagar. The reception was organised on July 20 in Prayagraj.

Meanwhile, three people were killed and another was critically injured after their car collided with a mini truck late at night in Mathurapur area of Bareilly district, an official said on Wednesday.

According to Superintendent of Police of Bareilly, Rahul Bhati, three youths travelling in a car died on the spot while another was seriously injured after their vehicle collided with a DCM truck late at night on Tuesday in Mathurapur area under the CB Ganj police station of Bareilly.

He said police admitted the injured to district hospital where they were undergoing treatment.
