Ratlam is creating a unique identity in the field of sports CM

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that we have provided a big budget of Rs 586 crore for sports in the state for the first time after independence. Madhya Pradesh is the only state that will have the maximum number of astroturfs for hockey. Sports have now been made a part of the curriculum as well. Sports teachers can also become assistant professors, professors, and vice-chancellors. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the inauguration of the silver jubilee celebrations of the Khel Chetna Mela organized by the Chaitanya Kashyap Foundation in Ratlam on Saturday. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav hoisted the flag and declared the Khel Chetna Mela open. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Chaitanya Kashyap, MP Sudhir Gupta, MP Anita Nagar Singh Chauhan, District Panchayat President Lalabai Shambhu Lal Chandravanshi, MLA Alot Chintamani Malviya, MLA Ratlam Rural Mathura Lal Damor, Mayor Prahlad Patel, Pradeep Upadhyay, Municipal Corporation Chairperson Smt. Manisha Sharma and many public representatives were present in the programme.

Yadav announced the construction of an astroturf for hockey and a saree cluster to give impetus to business in Ratlam. He said that in the saree cluster, women in the city should be associated with saree manufacturing on the lines of Maheshwar and Chanderi. He also announced the establishment of a cardiac branch for all types of heart-related treatments and operations in Ratlam’s Government Laxmi Narayan Pandey Medical College. Referring to the infrastructure development and availability of basic facilities for sports in Ratlam, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the government is constructing an integrated sports complex in Ratlam for Rs 15 crore, in which indoor sports activities like judo, karate, badminton, wrestling, kabaddi, etc. can be organized. A synthetic track is also being built for a 400-meter race. Along with this, a pavilion with a capacity of 1200 people and a gym is also being constructed. Land has been allotted for sports in Alot of the district. Land is also being allotted in Piploda-Raoti.

The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh will be the first state in the country to have the maximum number of 12 astro turfs for hockey. Praising the sports activities in Ratlam, the Chief Minister said that Ratlam, famous for sev, gold and sarees, is now establishing its special identity in sports as well. The Khel Chetna Mela being organized by Chaitanya Kashyap Foundation for the last 25 years has a special contribution in this event through which the sports talents of Ratlam are making their country and state proud.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that comprehensive efforts are being made for the development of sports in the state. The state has left its special mark in the Khelo India event held in Bhopal. The Chief Minister especially praised the Khel Chetna Mela being organized by Chaitanya Kashyap Foundation in Ratlam for the last 25 years. He said that this year Khel Chetna Mela has made its special place with the participation of 10 thousand players and felicitation of players. The Chief Minister also praised Minister Kashyap. The Chief Minister said that Ratlam, famous for trade and business since ancient times, is now making its own identity in sports as well.

Yadav said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is promoting sports activities in the country. He said that now our players return from the Olympics with medals. Referring to the ambitious projects of river linking in the state, Chief Minister Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has taken a pioneering initiative by taking inspiration from the former Prime Minister of the country, late Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
