Uttar Pradesh’s cabinet minister Sanjay Nishad met with a road accident in Pratapgarh district on Wednesday. It was reported that the minister suffered minor injuries in legs in the accident.
Many vehicles in his convoy were damaged in the accident.
After the accident, Nishad was taken to the district medical college hospital in Pratapgarh.
The incident happened on Wednesday morning when the UP Fisheries Minister Sanjay Nishad was going to Pratapgarh with his convoy. As soon as he entered Karhiya market, the escort vehicle going ahead of the minister;s car suddenly applied brakes due to which Nishad's vehicle collided with it.
After getting treatment at the hospital, the minister spoke to reporters, saying he was fine and nothing serious happened to him. He said the accident happened due to the sudden application of brakes as someone was crossing the road.
Meanwhile, Dr Manoj Khatri, who treated the minister, said that Nishad had an injury in his right leg.
His X-ray was done in which he was examined by an orthopaedic specialist due to a problem in the new joint. During the treatment, his blood pressure also increased and that was also treated for it. After about an hour of treatment, the minister was discharged and he left for his programme.
